This client had a dark and dingy unfinished basement space that made laundry for her active family a chore. Check out this transformation!
Laundry Room for a Queen
This project was a two for one for these homeowners. They wanted to update two bathrooms on the main floor of the house - the guest bath and the master bath. We weren't able to make changes to the footprint, but with lighter, brighter, and more modern materials we were able to completely change the feel of these formerly dark and dated bathrooms.
Double Bathroom Remodel
The floor plan of this property was partially designed before I was brought into the project. In fact, tweaking the layout of the entry way and dining room was part of my job interview for the company that built this showcase house. Eventually the proposed design of mixing the wood and tile in the kitchen enticed the flooring supplier to purchase the home.
Fall Parade of Homes
This is a conceptual project reimagining a midcentury ranch-style floorplan and updating it to meet the needs of a modern family. In addition to the floorplan, a furniture concept board is included to guide the furnishing selections.
Concept Home - Midcentury
Virtual renderings allow you to see your space as it could be. They're a great tool for envisioning a future remodel or redecorating project.
This project began with an unfinished basement that was transformed into a space with a large laundry room, a guest room, and this amazing spa inspired bathroom. The large steam shower finished with charcoal gray tile is the focal point of the room, featuring a bench for relaxing, a toe ledge to make shaving a bit easier, and a trough drain that runs the entire length of the shower cleverly concealed by hand selected river rocks. The flooring is a series of teak wood panels over a painted concrete floor.
At the beginning of the design process I will create a digital concept board to help you see the overall feel proposed for the finished space. This is a great way to see how different elements may work together to create a cohesive design.
Get in the Mood
Working as the in-house designer for a new home company allowed me the freedom to create the floorplan for this spec home completely from scratch. Spring parade homes are typically limited on square footage (to be more affordable) so there are plenty of creative tricks used in this home making it seem larger than it actually is.

In the end it wasn't a complete gut, but almost everything in the room is new. Although the construction process had a few hiccups, we’ve revamped this aging bathroom into an upgraded space the homeowners will enjoy for years to come.
